About the NDIC
Our Mission Statement
The purpose of the Northwest Diesel Industry Council (NDIC) is to: support technical education that benefits the commercial transportation and heavy equipment industries of the Northwest region; identify opportunities and take action to improve the region's current system of technical education; to inform the public about the need for and rewards of a high-quality technical education and its contribution to our region's economy.
Who is NDIC?
A new association of commercial transportation and heavy equipment related industries in the Northwest Region. Our goal is to increase the pool of technicians for our industry by forming a partnership with education and by sharing these great career opportunities with young people.
How Does A NDIC Membership Benefit You?
By becoming a member of NDIC you will work with other professionals, just like yourself. Building a large networking base. You will also be working closely with your local Community College, giving you access to graduates when you need to hire technicians. All members will be listed on the Membership page with a link to your companies web page.
How do NDIC Members Participate?
NDIC members can become involved in any or all the following:
- developing new curricula for tech prep and community college programs
- developing promotional materials
- recruiting students
- recruiting members
- providing career awareness for students, parents, counselors and teachers
- providing equipment for Diesel Technology programs
- providing youth apprenticeships and mentors for tech prep students
- providing scholarships for students
- and much more.
